【Event Recap】micro:bit Model Rocket Car Competition 2021-22

Joint School Practice Match

This year's competition has deployed a revamped roadmap. In June, Trumptech held the joint school practice match for students to learn the relevant STEAM knowledge, and to take part in the hands-on experience of building a rocket car. Teams can also learn the secret tips and exchange experiences with other school teams!

Competition Day

On the competition day, teams had to craft their streamlined rocket car within the time constraint, putting students’ STEM knowledge application and their teamwork skills to the test. In addition, the teams had to work on the design and decoration of the rocket car, to compete for the "My Favorite Rocket Car" Design Award!

After the hands-on building and inspection sessions, the rocket cars were allocated to 4 tracks, and to be put to the race via igniting gunpowder! The champion team of the primary school group and the secondary school group won stood out with a record of 23.2 milliseconds and 24.4 milliseconds respectively. Congratulations to all the winning teams and a big thank you to all the participants who dedicated so much of their effort in completing the challenge. Spotlight to Sha Tau Kok Central Primary School who emerged as a two-time championship from last year’s edition to this. It is evident that the school's devotion to STEM training has come to an absolute reward.
